It’s Mia Wallace x 12 for Fall Out Boy’s BBMA ‘Uma Thurman’.

It’s been a year and a half since Paul Walker died in a car accident in California—and for friends, family and his co-stars from the Fast and Furious franchise, the pain is still fresh.See You Again is turning into the My Heart Will Go On for a new generation, and Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s performance Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards pretty much sealed it. The rapper made his entrance at 1am on May 17, launching a short but sweet 15-minute set with the 2014 track “Me and You Friends,” the recorded version of which features Snoop Dogg and Ty Dolla $ign. Walker’s “Fast And Furious” co-stars Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson introduced Whiz Khalifia and Charlie Puth for a live performance of “See You Again,” an emotional track dedicated to the star.

The song, for which a tribute video to Walker debuted in April, was penned by Puth, and the trio’s performance made for the most emotional moment during a night otherwise primarily concerned with theatrics and ceremony. If that wasn’t enough, rapper Wiz Khalifa — who’ll go out on tour with Fall Out Boy — came out in a white top and black pants, just like the dancers. It made for an an apt segue into another Snoop guest spot, the anthemic “Young, Wild & Free,” which also served as a rallying call for the crowd, encouraged to take the lead on the chorus. “It’s the mother f—ing weekend, we do whatever the f— we wanna do!” declared Wiz as he launched into “Hold Up,” adding, “The party don’t stop when I get on stage.” The at-capacity club heeded the rapper’s words for “Ass Drop,” Wiz’s Tao closer.
