‘Bachelor’ Season 19’s Chris and Whitney Split; Odds against couples that fall in love in Reality Shows achieving their happy ending very high.

‘ split from Whitney Bischoff may have come about more suddenly than anyone would have thought – just three days prior to their joint announcement that they had decided to end their 6-month engagement, the couple were apparently as affectionate as ever at the home of Bachelor franchise alum Cody Sattler. Sattler, who got to know Soules from their time on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette, posted an Instagram photo on Monday of himself having a “snuggle” break with his adorable tiny dog while watching this season’s Bachelorette alongside the formerly engaged couple who were having a “cuddle on the couch.” Just watching some Bachelorette with @souleschris and @whitb624 while those two cuddle on the couch I get this little cutie to snuggle with! They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.” Although this comes as no surprise, considering the track record of “couplings” formed on reality shows like “The Bachelor” and similar franchises, the odds are stacked against any couple achieving a long-term relationship.

No worries, though – his dog is “such a lover.” Speaking of Instagram acting as a relationship graveyard filled with mementos of times past, Soules posted a photo just two weeks ago of himself in his hometown of Arlington, Iowa, with a grinning Bischoff by his side, declaring her a “#farmerintraining.” Additionally, just one week ago, following the finale of Dancing with the Stars, Soules posted a photo of himself with his family and fiancée. It means so much to me!” Shortly after Bischoff’s comment, Soules tweeted, “I can’t thank you all enough for the kind messages over the past few days.” He added, “This has been really tough and your support means a lot to me.” As Gossip Cop reported, Soules and Bischoff announced their breakup in a joint statement on Thursday. Well, there were actually two weddings, but the other was between Season 13’s Jason Mesnick and the woman he did not pick in the final rose ceremony, Molly Malaney. PEOPLE spoke to the couple before the 19th season finale of the show and the pervading theme of the interview pointed to the fact that Soules used “logic” to choose Bischoff. Soules’ father alleged that his son was really in love with Tilley but since Bischoff was the sure thing (Tilley was not committed to move to Iowa, where Soules is from, while Bischoff lived in Chicago and was ready to settle down), it apparently all boiled down to what makes more sense and practical.
