Don’t even try to wake up Jessica Jones in Netflix series’ new teaser.

The clip shows Jones (Krysten Ritter) sound asleep as a clock by her bed strikes 3 p.m. — but when the alarm goes off, she uses her super-strength to get a bit more shut-eye. In case you’re unsure of what the series is about, here’s the official synopsis from Netflix: “After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City. It’s time the world knew her name…” As mentioned, this teaser trailer is the first time we’ve seen Jessica Jones in any other than the official promotional pictures. It would be cool if we got little teasers like this right up until the full series trailer hits, which will probably a few weeks before the show ends up on Netflix. Daredevil was Marvel TV’s first bona fide “hit”, but one imagines the self-serious, fist fight-heavy style of that series won’t be as prevalent in Jessica Jones.

In addition to Ritter, the show also features Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Jessica’s best friend, also known as Hellcat in the comics, and Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper, another potential ally for Jones. The camera tracks across a bedroom floor, revealing discarded food wrappers, a newspaper, clothes, photos, a camera and an empty bottle of Jack Daniels. In the series, Krysten Ritter stars as Jessica Jones, alongside Mike Colter (Luke Cage), David Tennant (Kilgrave), and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).

The first teaser trailer released for Jessica Jones announced the release date of the series and also gave viewers a look at the style for the series.
