Justin Bieber Does Amazing Carpool Karaoke, Rubik’s Cube Challenge With James Corden.

David Letterman signed off on Wednesday night, putting the finishing touch on a 33-year career in late-night — the last 22 of which he’s spent at CBS. Justin Bieber and James Corden have just made our DAY after spending a few precious moments performing some questionable car karaoke as they shared a lift to work. While you were still crying over David Letterman’s late night departure, James Corden was asking Justin Bieber if he ever makes love to his own music.

If you managed to stay up past David Letterman‘s “Late Show” sign-off last night, James Corden and “The Late Late Show” certainly made the lost sleep worth your while. In the passenger’s seat this time is Justin Bieber, rocking along to Corden with a few of his hits like “Baby,” “Boyfriend,” and even a little Boyz II Men. The Late Late Show host has already performed with the likes of Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson in his carpool karaoke segment, but this is possibly our favourite yet. Corden kicked things off with a special tribute to the just-retired Letterman, with the “Late Late Show” host teaming up with an unwilling Sting in front of the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York (home of the “Late Show”) to sing an acoustic version of the Police frontman’s classic song “Every Breath You Take.” But Sting wasn’t having any of Corden’s harmonies or “ghetto”-style ad libs (“Do something, but make sure no one hears it”) .

But Corden also uses the ride to ask the pop star some tough questions, like where Bieber sees himself in 10 years, and whether he only wears each pair of free Calvin Klein underwear once. The star-filled goodbye averaged a 9.3 local rating, hitting its highest score since December 2005. (That telecast brought a visit from friend Oprah Winfrey, who hadn’t visited Letterman since 1989.) Full ratings for the telecast will be available later on Thursday, but as it stands, the 11:30 p.m. Bieber also manages to solve a Rubik’s Cube with surprising speed during the ride, so we can’t fault him too much for letting Corden belt out some of the bigger lines. And despite looking initially awkward, the moment his hit song “Baby” blares out from Corden’s car stereo everything changes — and his evident glee becomes totally contagious.

They probably didn’t ask for an autograph because they know I get it all the time.” After admitting he was a fan of Justin’s hit Baby, Corden says: “I’ve got to be honest for a minute, when I picked you up there I didn’t recognise you because you had a top on.” As Biebs launches into a description of his intense workout for his recent Calvin Klein shoot, Corden asks: “Do they send you unlimited Calvin Kleins? Do you just wear them once and throw them away?” Ever popular Justin then receives a mystery message from a female fan, but as he insists he’s not kissed her, he jokes: “No, never kiss before marriage. But while the duo’s karaoke efforts to Bieber’s hits are enjoyable, it’s nothing compared with the grand finale: a totally epic harmony version of Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road.”

I would lay the girl down on the bed and create a silhouette of me in the bathroom door and I’d be like” before playing the popstar’s hit Boyfriend. Corden has since tweeted the video, with the caption: “Carpool Karaoke with @justinbieber … He was an absolutely incredible guy to hang with. #I’mABelieber x.”
