Disney didn’t want to use my stories: George Lucas.

These include turning the Gmail loading bar into a lightsaber, using images from The Force Awakens film as backgrounds in new tabs on Chrome and making the progress bar on YouTube videos glow like a lightsaber. Before handing over Lucasfilm and the future of his galactic saga to The Walt Disney Company for USD 4 billion in 2012, Lucas came up with story treatments for a new trilogy, reported Entertainment Weekly. “They weren’t that keen to have me involved anyway. With less than a month before the awaited film hits U.S. theaters, fans eagerly awaited the promo, which was hyped up on social media and during the AMA’s upcoming intros.

In a blog post, Clay Bavor, vice president of Product Management at Google wrote: ‘It probably isn’t a surprise that there are tons of Star Wars fans like me here at Google. ‘You can regularly spot Darth Vaders, dogs dressed like Yoda, and even the occasional stormtrooper, roaming the halls of our data centres (probably still looking for those droids). ‘It’s a place for fans, by fans, and starting today you can choose the light or the dark side, and then watch your favourite Google apps like Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Chrome and many more transform to reflect your path. ‘And we’ve hidden a few Easter eggs, too. In the scenes, the two main characters, John Boyega’s Finn, a one-time Stormtrooper turned a hero, and the desert princess Rey ( played by newbie Daisy Ridley) are seen running for the hills as something blows up behind them. After the short promo, Harrison Ford, who will reprise his role as Hans Solo in the movie, introduced vocal quintet Pentatonix, who led a harmony to the medley of the Stars Wars score. The second rule, you don’t go over to their house and drive by to see what they’re doing,” Lucas said. “The third one is you don’t show up at their coffee shop and say, ‘You are going to burn it.’ You just say ‘Nope, gone, history, I’m moving forward’,” the director said.
