James Corden Sings Carpool Karaoke With Stevie Wonder.

Internet conspiracy theories about whether or not he can see aside (seriously), here’s one little known fact about legendary musician Stevie Wonder that we can actually get behind: The guy’s got jokes — and about Marion Barry no less.James Corden has driven the likes of Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber around in his car for The Late Late Show in recent months, and while his talented guests have made the presenter laugh, none of them managed to make him cry.

Wonder, who appeared recently alongside “The Late Late Show’s” James Corden in one of comedian’s always viral “Carpool Karaoke” segments, didn’t waste any time bringing the funny with a spot-on British accent (Corden’s from London). Corden said his wife Julia may not believe that he was in the car with Wonder, and asked the Superstition singer if they could call her to prove it while they drove around the streets of LA.

Wonder only sang a few lines of the hit down the phone, but it was enough to see the presenter become overcome with emotion and start rubbing his eyes. The pair sang along to a host of Wonder’s hits as they drove to Corden’s work, giving the legendary singer the chance to show off his accomplished British accent. But buried not so deep in that same bit, Wonder delivers another gem after claiming that Corden had stolen his driver’s license: “That bitch set me up,” joked the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner as he begrudgingly unbuckled his seat belt and heads to the passenger side. Wonder crossed paths with D.C.’s former “mayor for life” Marion Barry, who died in 2014, on plenty of occasions, starting with the 1981 concert Wonder held on the Mall to push for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday to become a national holiday.
