New trailer for Hunger Games: MockingjayA newly released trailer for the final instalment of The Hunger Games trilogy gives the greatest indication yet how the film series ends – and it features some sort of weird sewer monster. The trailer for Mockingjay -Part 2 brings Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) to the edge of the Capitol, leading District rebels in an inevitable showdown with President Snow (Donald Sutherland). “‘Our lives were never ours. They belong to Snow and our deaths do too but if you kill him, Katniss, if you end all of this, all those deaths they mean something,” says Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). A series of booby traps lie in wait for the freedom fighters, including a tidal wave of black tar and a floor of flying steel from which Katniss must escape.

The film is expected to be the final screen appearance of Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays Plutarch Heavensbee and makes a brief appearance in the trailer. As is the the habit of Hollywood to squeeze every ounce of drama from book franchises – see Harry Potter, The Hobbit and Twilight – the filmmakers have broken Collins’ Mockingjay book into two. Photo: Julia Brokaw Musician Ryan Adams berated a “most disrespectful” audience at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre when concert-goers persisted in taking flash photography – even after he explained it triggered a genetic illness that made him dizzy and sick.

The American rocker and alternative country balladeer suffers from Meniere’s disease, an inner-ear disorder that can upset balance and cause tinnitus, vertigo, dizziness and vomiting. But on Thursday night, while playing to a full house with his band, the Shining, Adams initially advised one woman in the audience that the infra-red light from her phone camera was disturbing him.

It was an echo of Adams’ reaction to a flash-photograph at Philadelphia’s Tower Theatre last November, when he stopped singing mid-way through one of his most crowd-pleasing ballads, Oh My Sweet Carolina. After his lecture to the audience, Adams played on to an enthusiastic crowd and he replied to howls of affection by repeatedly assuring them: “I love you, too.” While the lights went up at the end of his main set, and some shuffled out assuming he would not play an encore, Adams and the band returned with four more songs.
