R&B Singer Tyrese Finally Charts A Number One Album With ‘Black Rose’.

The film “Furious 7,” one of the biggest box-office hits of the year, has been dominating the music charts as well for months: The soundtrack album reached No. 1 in April, and Wiz Khalifa’s mushy rap ballad “See You Again,” which plays during the closing credits, reigned as the top single for 12 weeks. The sales for the first week of “Black Rose” soared to the top with 86,000 equivalent album units in sales, which surpassed Tyrese’s previous album sales for the first week of his 2011 album “Open Invitation.” “Black Rose” reached 83,000 pure album sales as compared to the 76,000 that his previous album, “Open Invitation” reached. This chart is Billboard’s first to cover a standard week of sales under the music industry’s plan to release albums around the world on Fridays. (For decades, release dates have varied according to local markets; in the United States, for example, albums came out Tuesdays, while in Britain it was Mondays.) The new system — which has drawn complaints from many independent record shops — went into effect on July 10. My independent album sold 86,400 + copies in its first week…. #1 on the R&B Billboard charts and #1 on the TOP 200 – ( the first #1 album and top 200 for me in 20 years of music )..

He follows Meghan Trainor, Imagine Dragons, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Shawn Mendes, Alabama Shakes, Twenty One Pilots, Florence + the Machine, Muse, James Taylor, Breaking Benjamin, and Meek Mill. Musically, Tyrese’s charting career has never been better than the past few years, as he’s placed three records in the top ten, despite not having any big singles. And Gods favor has been priceless. #NoPride #VoltronChairman#VoltronEntertainment The bible says “Pride cometh before a fall.” Thank you father God for not letting anything embarrassing happen to me and for constantly sending your love angels to keep me encouraged throughout this 3 1/2 year grueling and very emotionally draining process….. I guess it’s true… “the dept of your struggle will determine the height of your success” #TeamBlackRose and #TeamVoltron and more importantly YOU the fans and supporters We did it!!

And R&B consumers are still very much here you were just waiting on #BlackRose Embrace and enjoy this #BlackRose album it’s my baby its my heart… It’s my BEST!! Just as interestingly, Tyrese’s first week at the top coincides with Billboard 200’s first week using Nielsen Music’s new tracking week, which starts on Friday and goes through Thursday, instead of the week they used to use, which started on Monday and went through Sunday.
