Tracy Morgan To Give First Interview Since Crash On Monday.

TRENTON, N.J. – Actor-comedian Tracy Morgan was very emotional after settling his lawsuit against Wal-Mart over a highway crash that killed one man and left Morgan and two friends seriously injured. Comic Tracy Morgan has “a new lease on life” — and will speak publicly for the first time since the deadly smash-up on the New Jersey Turnpike that nearly killed him.Fresh off reaching a settlement in his lawsuit with Walmart, regarding their responsibility in the car crash that left him fighting for his life, Tracy Morgan will sit down for his first TV interview on Monday, June 1. Appearing on NBC’s “Today” show Thursday, Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, said Morgan is happy to put the litigation behind him and have closure. Morgan and pals Ardley Fuqua and Jeffrey Millea were all horribly injured on June 7 of last year, when a Walmart truck plowed into the back of their limo van. “They not only took full responsibility and did right by my clients and their families but they truly were upset that this happened,” Morelli said. “They apologized to me and asked me to apologize to my clients.” And while the standup hasn’t been able to perform or act since the accident that killed his friend James (Uncle Jimmy Mack) McNair, Morelli hinted his sense of humor may be returning.

The criminal case has not been resolved, but Roper failed in an attempt to delay the civil case, citing “intense media attention” that would negatively affect his criminal trial. “The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident,” the network said. “We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery.
