The Weeknd and Bella Hadid make a stunning NYFW pair

‘Model of the moment’ Gigi Hadid has the last laugh at agencies who told her she was too fat for high fashion.

Kendall, schmendall! The high profile 20-year-old made her New York Fashion Week debut this season, and has already walked in line-ups for Diane Von Furstenberg, Jeremy Scott and Tommy Hilfiger in the last few days alone. The All-American blond bombshell looked like the cat who got the cream as she closed out Hilfiger’s S/S 2016 show in a rasta-inspired monokini and beanie hat yesterday evening. Stomping through the catwalk’s artificial lake, the California native was tasked with ending the show with a memorable moment and she delivered by prancing down the runway hand in hand with her younger sister, Bella, whom she kissed affectionately on the cheek.

Print modeling pros, the budding supermodel sisters—who are the daughters of former model and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster—both owned the runway in their barely there ensembles. Since her appearance in the revealing swimsuit, the GUESS and Victoria’s Secret model has been praised by fans for her athletic figure and natural beauty. While Gigi, 20, donned a printed two-piece with a multicolored hat and a statement necklace, Bella, 18, worked a mesh top and drawstring pants—which she eventually lost, just in time for the finale. But it wasn’t an easy rise to supermodel status for Gigi – who recently revealed that agencies wouldn’t take her seriously and constantly rejected her due to her “fuller frame”. “When I first went to visit different agencies in New York, a lot of them were like, ‘You have to lose a lot of weight,'” she told MailOnline earlier this year. “I ate like a man – more than the man that I eat like now, like a bigger man – and it was crazy but at the time I didn’t care what my body looked like, I just wanted to be the best volleyball player I could be so it didn’t really matter to me,” Gigi explains. “My thighs were huge, they were like rock!” “I’m kind of the model that everyone thought would always be the Guess, Sports Illustrated girl, then when I started to do high fashion stuff… people were like, ‘Oh so we can have a girl with like thighs and a butt in a Tom Ford campaign, cool,’” Gigi added.

When Gigi and Bella left the boardwalk-style stage (complete with water!) and wrapped the show, they did so holding hands and without pants, giving the audience a prime view of their perfect posteriors. DVF took to Instagram to document the cute moments between the sisters backstage, which included more cheek kisses and standing around with their hair in pin curls backstage. And walked in two separate looks during the A-list event for Givenchy, and looked fabulous before suffering from a fall on the industrial runway aisle.
