‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Release Date & Spoilers: New Photos Released, Zombie Drama Series Welcomes New Characters.

If there’s one thing we learned last season on The Walking Dead, it’s that when Carol Peletier offers you cookies, you take them…because you may not like the other option she has in mind. Carter obviously has issues with the way Rick is running Alexandria as we dig into season 6 so his conflict will be an interesting story to watch this year.Entertainment Weekly has obtained a brand-new set of photos and character details from Season 6 of AMC’s hit zombie drama series ‘The Walking Dead.’ Series showrunner Scott M. Follow the hashtag #50Scoops50Days on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with the latest, and check EW.com/50Scoops50Days for all the news and surprises.

We also have a new photo of Corey Antonio Hawkins’ Heath, who was introduced last month. (Not that kind of playing doctor, Richonne hopefuls.) Denise is without a doubt the role that we were hoping Wever was signed up for, although the producers were cagey about releasing that info when her casting was revealed at Comic-Con. With the survivors now deeply embedded inside the Alexandria Safe Zone, Rick and his people are going to encounter even more townspeople – a couple of which are going to look very familiar to comic book readers.

The issue is wrapped in a cover dedicated to the series, featuring Carol (Melissa McBride) holding out a cookie, flanked by Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Daryl (Norman Reedus). Denise Cloyd, a character from the “Walking Dead” comic books who pitches in to mend some very wounded people in the Alexandria community. “Ethan plays a combo of a few characters that we actually haven’t hit yet or weren’t able to hit in other characters,” Gimple explained. “He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy.” Hawkins, who was first to be announced as the newest cast member of the series and will also appear Universal’s NWA biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton,’ will take on the role of Heath, Alexandria’s supply runner who develops a romantic interest in Dr. It was announced at Comic-Con in San Diego that Ethan Embry and Merritt Wever would be joining the cast, but no other details were given on whom they would be playing. The cover is a throwback to an episode last season when Carol promises a young boy all the cookies he can eat if he doesn’t tell his mom about what he saw when he caught her stealing a bag of handguns (after threatening to tie him to a tree and leave him for zombie food, of course).

Cloyd. “He’s terrific and I’m so excited to see him bring Heath to life,” Gimple said of Hawkins. “It’s been fun and he dove in with both feet. The Spoiling Dead Fans recently reported that Josh McDermitt, the actor who plays Eugene Porter, was spotted trying to cover his face with a towel after filming scenes for the show. A lot of characters that you didn’t see having beef are starting to have beef—there’s a lot of mistrust.” Ultimately, it comes down to what Lincoln says is, “them and us. In addition, Den of Geek website mentioned that Merrit Wever and Ethan Embry will join the cast for the upcoming season, though their roles are still unspecified. And it may go for 50 seasons, but there is definitely an end point at some point,” Kirkman told Marc Maron during a visit to the comedian’s WTF podcast.

It’s been said that in the comic book that her skills as a surgeon become pretty important when one of the main characters gets a pretty gnarly injury, but it’s unclear if that will make it into the show or not. Lennie James confirms that we will indeed get answers as to what changed Morgan from the loony tunes character we saw in season 3 to the stick-wielding semi-pacifist we encountered outside Alexandria (“He has gone through a transformation that viewers will find out about,”) and we will also see some backstory to events that happened in Alexandria before Rick and Co. arrived.

Do you think Denise Cloyd will patch Carl Grimes up after he loses an eye, or will the boy get to keep both peepers because of the extra makeup time an eye loss would cost? Gimple cautions it will not involve the origins of the community (like last year with Terminus). “It’s earlier in Alexandria,” says Gimple of the flashbacks, “but not the beginning of Alexandria. For the first time we’ll get the unique opportunity to see how other people survive, in a completely different location, under different circumstances.

There are some stories filled in regards to the comic that we haven’t even gotten to yet—sort of prequeling some comic stories that are coming up, which I’m very excited about.” For more intel on what to expect in season 6—including scoop on the Wolves and newer, even more disgusting zombies—check out the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, which hits stands in Friday. It’s already been announced that Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) will be playing a character named Heath from the comic who is a supply-runner for the town (and one who becomes romantically linked to Denise in the original source material), but we’ve got an exclusive new photo for you above.
