Captain America & Crossbones Have an Epic Battle in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Set Photos!.

Such is the scale of Marvel’s standalone films now that it’s almost inevitable that each feature will attract significant attention during production, and it’s no different for Joe and Anthony Russo’s much-anticipated Captain America: Civil War. When we last saw Anthony Mackie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sam Wilson, he was joining the likes of Scarlet Witch, The Vision, and War Machine as they prepared to form their own team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ But now that ‘Captain America: Civil War’ has begun shooting, we have a few new looks at the Falcon in action alongside his ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ co-stars. Late last week, we were given our first look at Frank Grillo as the menacing and physically robust Crossbones, and a slew of new set photos showcase the villain going toe-to-toe with Chris Evans’ First Avenger. The third Captain America movie, which is just as large in scale as The Avengers, is in the midst of production, and set photos have been leaking left and right.

Before moving ahead we must warn you that the following information has SPOILERS, however you already knew that and why would you be reading this if you didn’t want to find out? Much like those from a few days ago, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon can also be glimpsed amongst the action, which sees the friends engage with Crossbones and his squad of goons in what appears to be an African marketplace. Unfortunately, despite Marvel’s requests that the image be taken down, it has been shared all over the internet on different social media sites and is now most definitely out there.

It’s unknown whether they’re chasing someone or being chased, but then, in the second video, Sam takes flight and takes out a soldier, so it could really go either way. With an ever-expanding ensemble that includes Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Martin Freeman and the long-awaited debut of Spider-Man, said to be played by Enders Game‘s Asa Butterfield, there’s certainly a lot to get excited for here. Hayley Atwell returned to reprise her role of Peggy Carter in Captain America: Winter Soldier, but not as the young determined woman who falls in love with Steve Rogers during World War II. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team.

The comic storyline saw two deaths that had major impacts on the characters, though it should be noted that the film version will only use this as inspiration and not necessary follow the plot exactly.
