‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 20: Finals Recap.

May 18, 2015: Rumer Willis poses with partner Val Chmerkovskiy after the first night of the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ live finale in Los Angeles (Carole Glines) Viewers will find out Tuesday night after the final three celebrities on the hit ABC reality show — Rumer Willis, Noah Galloway, and Riker Lynch — pulled out all the stops Monday night, with each performing two dynamic dances. Iraq War veteran Noah Galloway left the judges stunned during the “Dancing With the Stars” season finale Monday night, performing a dance that received a perfect 40/40 score.

In the hotly-anticipated freestyle dances, Rumer displayed her singing as well as dancing chops by performing to her own cover version of the Britney Spears song, “Toxic,” Galloway re-lived his experiences as a wounded veteran, and Lynch pulled off a Fred Astaire-meets-hip-hop style number. Willis’ sister Tallulah posted a picture of their emotional dad on Instagram, along with the message, “Look at this cutie tearing up from my insanely magical [sister’s] dance. Chmerkovskiy (who trained as a classical musician as a kid) played the violin on “Toxic” and laughed backstage that that close pal Rumer “left me no choice.” Rumer also told FOX411 about doing the freestyle, “Honestly, you have to just let the whole world disappear and you just have to dance with your partner and stay with that connection…it was amazing.

He is paired with Sharna Burgess this year on the 20th season of the hit show. “Your journey has been the hardest and the longest and as we nearly reach journey’s end, I’ve got to say, that was amazing,” the first judge said. “It’s beyond words what you did,” another judge echoed. “Like I was thinking the words ‘fix me’ and ‘fix you’ — and I was thinking there is nothing to fix about you.” Galloway previously made news earlier in the season when he danced to Toby Keith’s “American Solider.” That performance went viral and resulted in tears from the judges and audience. We are all so proud of you Rue.” In addition to earning perfect scores on Monday, Willis danced to “Toxic,” a song she covered that featured Chmerkovskiy on the violin. We put everything we had on the floor.” While her supporters include A-listers like Gwyenth Paltrow and Ashton Kutcher, who tweeted their love on Monday, Rumer gratefully noted backstage that it was her crew of NON-famous fans who voted her into the finale.

PLEASE SHE HAS WORKED SO HARD. 1 (855) 234-5610 #VALENRUE Willis’ performance even inspired Ashton Kutcher, the ex-boyfriend of her mom Demi Moore, to encourage his 16.9 million followers on Twitter to vote for her. “I love and care for her abilities to too much to ever let her slide on anything,” he said. “My hardass-ness comes from that. How they did: Though Galloway admitted in his practice video that he only expected to make it to week three, so he was thrilled to have gotten to the finals, it seems the pressure of competition finally caught up with the army vet. So for his freestyle, he explained backstage to FOX411, “The other dancers represented my mom, my dad, my sisters, friends of mine that have been on this journey with me even in the darkest times. He and Sharna Burgess danced to a mix featuring David Guetta and Sia’s Titanium, and you were definitely made of steel if you weren’t reaching for the Kleenex.

Galloway and partner Burgess started strong, but struggled with a major lift. “Overall there is an improvement in your dancing,” Len acknowledged. “Yes, there was a little bit of a flub,” Julianne conceded, “But you still have another dance. So just come back with that and be confident.” For her part, Carrie Ann said she was “worried” about the couple, but also encouraged them to focus on their next routine. To make a play for that ballroom booty, the mirror ball trophy, River and Allison revisited their Pirates of the Caribbean paso from Disney night during week 5. Burgess led Galloway into more vulnerable territory for their freestyle performance, drawing inspiration from the way the vet felt when he first woke up after his war accident.

But then they were coming in and it was that moment of walking and them doing it for me — and me coming out the other side on my own. “I’m who I am today because of them and after it was done, I looked over and my mom is in the audience and it hit me. The first time the couple might’ve wanted to make judges Len and Julianne walk the plank since they gave the couple 9s and not 10s like Carrie Ann and Bruno, but this week the couple got their redemption. For the dance, Galloway went completely shirtless and looked more comfortable than ever on the dance floor. “For me, that was a celebration,” Julianne said. “To me, that was what a freestyle is. Rumer and Val really wanted to show the judges how much they’ve grown over the course of the season so they opted to revisit their foxtrot from week 1. The R5 frontman reflected on what he needs to do in order to beat Rumer Willis (whom he clearly sees as his only real competition). “The competition between us is so, so tight,” he mused. “We literally have to be absolutely perfect.” And, as it turns out, they were.

The routine was a miraculous combination of old and new school and the judges loved every moment. “That is a true freestyle, if I’ve ever seen one,” Julianne said while Bruno called Riker “Fred Astaire repackaged for a new generation.” Carrie Ann spoke too fast to really get what she said, but it’s safe to say she liked it. “You brought the past into the present, Len affirmed. Though the dance was a serious one, Willis couldn’t keep her smile off her face the entire time (and neither could mother Demi Moore or father Bruce Willis, both of whom came out to support their daughter). They made it clear that their only goal tonight was to do everything in their power change that. “Every move, every intention, sharply in focus,” Bruno gushed before calling it “unbelievable.” Len called it “pure” and “brave,” and Julianne said, “It was raw.
