5 Biggest Jaw-Droppers at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

Kanye West closed the show and huge chunks of his performance — chalk full of pyrotechnics — were muted. No one is going to forget about Simple Minds’ 30-year anniversary tribute to “The Breakfast Club” on Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards (hey, hey, hey, hey, ohhh). The televised ceremony, which took place on Sunday, May 17th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, was the place to be for those looking to check out the hottest moments in music, including Taylor Swift’s newest video, British boy band One Direction appearing as a foursome, and Jennifer Lopez rocking barely-there couture.

And speaking of dangerously revealing ensembles, a slew of other celebs took the opportunity to show of loads of leg, whittled waists and lots of cleavage on the red carpet. As promised, Selena Gomez, Kendrick Lamar, Jessica Alba, Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding, Hayley Williams and others appeared in the dark, action-packed video.

The artist, known as an entertainer who often pushes the envelope, performed his new song “All Day” from his forthcoming album, “Swish,” as well as his two-year-old song “Black Skinhead.” West was introduced by two of his sister-in-laws — Kendall and Kylie Jenner — who were noticeably booed as they introduced him. Whether it was revealing fashion choices (Oh hey there Jennifer Lopez) or naughty dances (we see you twerking Nicki Minaj), there was plenty to talk about in Sin City. The hotly anticipated new clip for the new remixed version of the song (featuring Kendrick Lamar) premiered at the 2015 Billboard Awards on Sunday night and the mock-action film delivered on its promise of guest cameos. Directed by esteemed video director Joseph Kahn, it begins with Swift (aka Catastrophe) getting double-crossed by her one-time partner in crime, Selena Gomez (Arysn).

From that point on, the name of the game is revenge, and Swift embarks on her “Mission Impossible”-style training montage which includes kick-boxing with Karlie Kloss (Knockout), riding bikes with Jessica Alba (Domino), and getting weapons training from Zendaya (Cut-Throat). Power of Words: Even though Sam Smith was unable to attend the big show because of a recent vocal cord surgery, the “Stay With Me” crooner couldn’t help but thank fans for his award in the loveliest way possible. The full list of cameos is below, but spoiler alert: It doesn’t contain Katy Perry — Swift’s song is strongly rumored to be about ill-feeling between the pair. Taylor Swift won the awards for top artist, top female artist and top album for ‘‘1989.’’ One Direction won awards for top group and top touring artist. In ode to Andrew Lincoln in Love Actually, the 22-year-old didn’t speak a word as he let the audience read his cue cards. “It’s times like this that I realize how lucky I am to have you in my life,” one read. “Can’t wait to get this surgery out of the way so I can sing my ass off for you again.” 2. 1D United: Rest easy, Directioners.

John Legend won top radio song for ‘‘All of Me,’’ and Meghan Trainor won top Hot 100 song for ‘‘All About That Bass.’’ Florida Georgia Line were named top country artist. But every time the “Shake It Off” crooner went onstage to accept an award, she just had to lean in for a hug (and sometimes a kiss) from her not-so-rumored boyfriend. Rap What?!: We don’t think we’re hard of hearing, but we practically missed all of ‘s performance Sunday because ABC decided to bleep out so many moments.
