Fans have been given their first full look at next summer’s retelling of the classic wild man tale, and the upcoming epic looks set to deliver on all fronts. Leading man Alexander Skarsgard’s impressive physique takes centre stage in the teaser clip, while his on-screen chemistry with Margot Robbie is also revealed in the clip.

USA Today has released the first images from Warner Bros.’ upcoming The Legend of Tarzan, and they will significantly pique your interest in what the vine-swinging gentleman has been up to lately. “Tarzan needs muscles, but it’s more a leaner, longer, more vertical modern man than the square-jawed stereotype we’re used to,” said director David Yates, who led the final four Harry Potter films. Starting with breath-taking landscape views of the jungle, which reveals the scale of production on the flick, an ominous voice over can be heard as the early story of Tarzan is shown on the screen. The plot follows the title character who, after acclimating to life in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment. It preys on the old, the sick, the wounded… it preys on the weak, but never the strong.’ Australian beauty Margot, who sports red locks for her role as Jane, can then be seen telling a mystery man: ‘He is no normal man. The film bows on July 1, 2016 and joins Warner Bros.’ slate that includes “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Suicide Squad” and the “Harry Potter” spinoff “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which also has Yates serving as director.

No man ever started with less.’ The two minute trailer also involves an ample about of vine swinging, impressive CGI effects and a lot of gorillas as fans patiently await the chance to see the blockbuster when it hits screens in 2016. Tarzan, now living as John Clayton III aka Lord Greystoke, is invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom.
