NBC orders Taken prequel series.

However, it’s been reported Neeson will not be involved in the project although director Luc Besson is on board with his studio EuropaCorp and Universal TV. In the original Taken movie retired CIA agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) has to race across Europe in a bid to find his daughter who was kidnapped while on a trip to Paris.

According to Deadline, the series will follow Bryan – who famously boasts of the ‘very particular set of skills’ he ‘acquired over a very long career’ in the first film – as he develops those very skills. While Taken sees his beloved daughter Kim kidnapped by a human trafficking and prostitution ring and the third film brings the brutal demise of his ex-wife Lenore aka.
