Disney releases `Star Wars: The Force Awakens` trailer on Insta.

The first footage of Britain’s John Boyega wielding a lightsaber as rogue stormtrooper Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens has hit the web, sparking furious online debate from fans.Disney has recently released the trailer of J.J Abrams’s directorial ‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens,’ which features John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, on social networking site for the fans. The footage, premiered via Instagram’s new landscape video format, shows Boyega involved in what appears to be a lazer sword battle with Adam Driver’s nefarious Kylo Ren.

The 10-second clip was simply captioned: “There has been an awakening…” and features a vast army of Stormtroopers and close-ups of new characters, including Finn, played by John Boyega, holding a lightsaber. The clip opens with a scene where Daisy Ridley’s character Rey is looking up into the sky and previously seen image of the new baddie Kylo Ren carrying a lightsabre and ends on the John Boyega’s character Finn. Ren, Snoke (Andy Serkis) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) are all part of the First Order, an army that rose out of the ashes of the old Galactic Empire. Bloggers and fans have speculated that Boyega might be carrying the blue lightsaber which was once owned by Anakin Skywalker and later obtained by his son Luke from Obi-Wan Kenobe in 1977’s Star Wars – then later lost in a battle with his father (now Darth Vader) in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back. The second, released on YouTube in April, was confirmed by Guinness World Records as officially the most viewed film trailer in a 24-hour period after being watched 30 million times.

Finn’s use of a lightsaber would usually suggest he boasts Force skills, as either a Jedi or a Sith, though the cyborg General Grievous was able to wield multiple lightswords in the prequel trilogy without being named as a member of either order. The Hollywood site Deadline predicted this week that the film will smash the all-time box office opening record of $524.4m currently held by Jurassic World on its opening weekend.
