Hot demand for dress worn by Charlotte.

LONDON: A small Spanish fashion label has been swamped with demand for Princess Charlotte’s floral dress, its owner told AFP on Friday, after the British royal baby was pictured wearing one of its frocks. With her sweep of dark hair and sparkling eyes, Princess Charlotte won admirers across the globe when she was pictured in two new photographs released last week. Charlotte, the second child of Prince William and his wife Kate turned six months old on Nov. 2 and Kensington Palace has issued fresh photographs of the youngster, taken in early November, to mark the occasion. “We don’t know how she got the dress,” said Margarita Pato Cid, the owner of M&H, a family boutique brand which has been running for six years and has five outlets in Spain. “We found out that Princess Charlotte was wearing it at the same time as the public, through the photos. “We think it’s possible, but we’re not sure, that it’s thanks to the nanny of William and Kate’s children,” she said, referring to Maria Teresa Turrion, who is Spanish and looks after Charlotte and her two-year-old brother Prince George. But parents hoping to dress their own little girls in the same floral frock as the fourth in line to the throne have been left disappointed – because the designer has run out of material.

The Spanish boutique behind the dress, m&h, said it has been inundated with requests for the £21 dress after it was identified by but that it only has ’10 metres’ left. We have some dresses in the making but we don’t have enough material to meet all the demands,” she said, without revealing the volume of requests.

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge was born on May 2, only the fourth baby born with the title of British princess since the start of World War II. She’s the Duchess’ mini-me now that she’s reached six months and she and Prince George must be two of the cutest kiddies on the block (along with Harper and North of course!) Kate took two gorgeous photos of the little princess inside their home and we couldn’t help but coo over the little darling in her floral print dress by Spanish retailer M&H, pink tights and cashmere cardigan. Initially the pictures weren’t intended for public view but the duchess was so pleased with them – and the positive response her last photographs of George and Charlotte received – that she decided to release them. Kensington Palace said in a statement: ‘The duke and duchess continue to receive warm messages about Princess Charlotte from all around the world and they hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do.’ A royal aide added: ‘The duke and duchess are very grateful for the support they have received when it comes to their children and wanted to share these very charming pictures taken by the duchess.

It is something they intend to continue to do.’ Although the couple are keen for their children to enjoy as normal a childhood as possible away from the public glare, William enjoys talking about his daughter.
