Introducing the S’mores Oreo.

S’mores Oreos are really happening just in time for summer, an Oreo rep confirmed to Us Weekly — get the mouthwatering details on this delightful new limited-edition flavor here!

The cookies won’t hit stores until May 22, so put that on your calendar, but we had some at the USA TODAY Sports office and I am For The Win’s official Oreo taste tester. The newest limited-edition flavor will feature a chocolate-marshmallow creme filling wedged between two delicious graham cracker cookies, the first-ever to be introduced by Oreo.

The rep adds that fans will be able to enjoy the iconic summertime delight without the “fuss” and “mess” of actual campfire s’mores — but with a very similar taste. The actual cookies will remind you of eating Teddy Grahams, and if you eat the whole thing in one bite, it might remind you of S’mores Ritz Bitz Sandwiches from the early 2000s. Over the last few months, Oreo has unveiled multiple mouthwatering one-off flavors including Cotton Candy-flavored Oreos last month, and Red Velvet Oreos this past February.

The cookie’s flavor is a bit more vague — it’s kind of like a normal vanilla cookie with just a hint of graham cracker, sort of like a Teddy Graham. Just like with the Red Velvet flavor Oreo released around Valentine’s Day, we wish the creme was Double Stuf style — maybe one chocolate creme and the other marshmallow rather than having them mixed together. Those taking Zipcars and headed for their respective destinations for the long weekend might find a surprise package of S’mores Oreos tucked away in the passenger seats of their reserved cards on May 21 and 22. Some TIME staffers were rather impressed with the cookies, deeming it “quite successful.” Others, who really didn’t expect to like it, considered themselves “pleasantly surprised.” Oh, there’s a chance to score a free pack of the new cookies.
