Here’s How Selena Gomez Handled Her Body-Shamers.

It turns out the 23-year-old was honoring Aniston by stripping down for the cover of her latest album “Revival.” Gomez revealed the news on Twitter Thursday, calling Aniston her “idol.” “Honestly, [Aniston] is amazing,” Gomez said previously. “We met through my management.

“I feel very empowered and confident and comfortable with where I am,” she said during an “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” interview Friday. “And I think it took me a long while to get there because, you know, the past year was so interesting because I’ve never been body-shamed before … They manage her as well, so it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she’s, like, inviting me to her house.” “She’s very cool and very sweet. I dealt with a whole other set of issues that was really interesting.” “I did gain weight, but I don’t care,” the “Love You Like a Love Song” singer, 23, said, but she also admitted that the online criticism got to her “a little bit” but “sometimes you can’t help” reading the comments. “You know what’s interesting? I posted this photo on Instagram and I was like, ‘There’s more to love and I’m happy with myself.’ The reason why I did that was because I didn’t want them to win,” Gomez said. “Because then the next day, it wasn’t about how I gained weight, it was about how I embraced it.

And that’s just kind of my approach.” Justin Bieber’s ex also talked about her recent single “Good for You,” explaining that while on the surface the song is about a woman who wants to look good for her man, the lyrics have a deeper meaning about female liberation. “There’s nothing wrong with a woman being comfortable, confident,” she said. “I love feeling like I’m in love and I want to look good for someone, but at the same time there’s no guy in my video. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice.” Gomez added that a typical hang-session for the two of them involves . . . making pizzas. “She has a pizza oven. Gomez revealed this week the cover for her upcoming third studio album, Revival . . . and it’s a more mature look for the pop star, as she is not wearing very much in the way of clothing, sitting in a scrunched (and frankly kind of uncomfortable-looking position) on the floor.

It is easy to imagine Jen opening an e-mail from her publicist with this, as she bites into a kale chip, and flashing that trademark resplendent smile before muttering “I love that girl,” as Justin Theroux looks up from his guitar stand, or whatever, and says, “What was that?”
