Madonna reveals she dated ‘gangsta’ rapper Tupac Shakur before his tragic death.

The View host told her fellow panelists Thursday that it all started at the 1993 Soul Train Awards, when Perez got stood up and Shakur offered to be her date for the ceremony. The star opened up about the harrowing incident during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2013, revealing she was attacked at knifepoint at the age of 19 shortly after moving to New York City from her native Michigan.

I’m not going to lie,” Madonna told shock jock Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show, adding that Beatty inspired her song Vogue: “I have confidence in my skills. I trusted everybody,’ she continued, explaining how the neighbour persuaded her to his place across the street to make the call. ‘I was raped,’ the star announced to American radio presenter Howard Stern.

Even though, Perez, now 50, said every woman in the room was jealous – and some even wanted to beat her up for being with the late rapper – one woman in particular caught Shakur’s eye. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times.” On Wednesday, Madonna recounted the event on Howard Stern’s radio show, saying her attacker was “a very friendly guy,” and she put her faith in him because she “trusted everybody.” When Stern asked why she never considered filing charges with the police, Madonna replied, “You’ve already been violated.

She claimed being with Shakur inspired an expletive-laden appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman more than a year later. “I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and, the thing is, he got me all riled up on life in general,” she explained. “So when I went on the show, I was feeling very gangsta.”
