Rosie O’Donnell Responds to Estranged Daughter Chelsea’s Plea for Privacy: “Now a Photo Shoot”.

“I care about her and I hope she’s doing well, but love is a really big word and I wouldn’t really use that,” Chelsea said in a preview of an upcoming Inside Edition interview. “Some of things that have happened in the last few months I can’t get over or forgive her for,” Chelsea said. “[Like] kicking me out of the house, putting it out that I’m mentally unstable.” “I know that isn’t true. In a tweet addressed toward her 18-year-old adopted daughter, the former View co-host calls the young woman out for asking for privacy only to days later post photos of herself to Instagram. “18 years ago tomorrow—I met my daughter for the first time…a plea 10 days ago…now a photo shoot #choices,” O’Donnell, 53, tweeted, along with a screen shot of Chelsea’s plea from over a week ago and a recent photo of her posing with a puppy on Instagram. In Chelsea’s plea posted on Oct. 20, she asked for people to stop tagging her in photos of O’Donnell and expressed that she doesn’t “want to hear anything” about her mom.

Rosie expressed at the time that her daughter suffers from mental illness, and during a stand-up show earlier this month, the comedian explained that her family has been dealing with the drama for some time. “I love all of my kids,” Rosie said. “My daughter has been in the news. As Mom, my wish is for love and peace and wait until it’s done…Chelsea just turned 18,” she added. “For adopted children 18 is a magic number.
