‘Quantico': TV Review.

SERIES: “Quantico,” which premieres Sunday on ABC, was created by Joshua Safran, a writer and executive producer of CW’s “Gossip Girl” and NBC’s “Smash.” STORY: Priyanka Chopra stars as Alex Parrish, part of an ethnically diverse class of F.B.I. trainees. One of the frustrating things about the pilot for ABC’s Quantico is that it’s just good enough to make you want to watch another, but also filled with enough worries to make you want the second episode as proof that the flaws might be magnified.”I was taking pictures in a studio for a scholarship program for a university in Australia and the photographer was like, ‘Oh, can we take a few more pictures because you’re pretty?’ He hit the vanity of a young girl and so I was, like, ‘Yeah, sure,’ ” Chopra tells PEOPLE. “My mom saw the pictures and thought they were really great so she sent them in for Miss India and then I won Miss World.Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Alia Bhatt seemed to have proven the old adage that ‘heroines cannot be friends’ wrong as they have come in support of Deepika, 29, who will be seen sharing screen space with Priyanka in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Bajirao Mastani”, took to Twitter to wish her co-star.

A crowd has gathered in front of the New York Public Library, stopping foot traffic on Fifth Avenue, to snap photos of a stunning dark-haired woman who just stepped outside. “Who is it?” a passerby asks, pushing through. Aunjanue Ellis is the trainees’ no-nonsense mentor, and she immediately gives them a test: Find out a dark secret about a classmate within 24 hours or go home. (They all have dark secrets.) In a flash forward, we learn that a major terrorist attack is coming and that at least one of the trainees is involved.

So here we are again with a broadcast network releasing only one episode for review, a practice that — given the poor ratings from the vast majority of shows released so far — is not working particularly well. The 33-year-old “Mary Kom” star in turn praised Deepika’s upcoming film “Tamasha”, writing, “Thank you so much @deepikapadukone Tamasha looks awesome… Can’t wait” “Quantico” revolves around a group of young Federal Bureau of Investigation recruits, who are training at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia. TONE: “Homeland” meets the Shonda Rhimes ouevre, with the ensemble casting and sexual tension of “Grey’s Anatomy” plus the flashbacks and mentor-mentee dynamic of “How to Get Away With Murder” and the Olivia Pope-like family baggage of “Scandal.” CRITICS SAY: “If great TV takes many hands to make, competently O.K. I’ve done about 40 films,” she says. “I love waking up every morning and getting to say, ‘Yes!’ I get to go to set and create characters and work with people around the world and tell stories.
