Kate Middleton Looks Absolutely Stunning in Bold Floral Gown at Black-Tie Gala.

If she wears another samey navy blue dress or demure grey gown, everyone rolls their eyes, shakes their head at her fringe (it’s not even a blunt one. The royal, 33, sparkled at her first state banquet last week in a dazzling diamond tiara, on loan from Queen Elizabeth and previously worn by Elizabeth’s mother, the late Queen Mum.

She dazzled last night in an elegant blue Jenny Packham gown at the world premiere of Spectre – but her latest fashion offering has received a rather more mixed reception. The Duchess of Cambridge continues to kill the fashion game after returning from maternity leave, this time looking absolutely gorgeous in a floral floor-length gown by Erdem at a black-tie gala in London on Tuesday evening. Kate wore a red, white and blue patterned dress by Erderm as she attended a gala at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in aid of a children’s charity, alongside more than 200 top businesswomen.

Middleton completed the bold peplum-esque ensemble with a glamorous pair of dangling earrings and matching bracelet, opting for a side-swept hairstyle of loose, bouncy curls. No one could deny that Kate looked gorgeous as she stepped out at the annual 100 Women in Hedge Funds (100WHF) event, raising money for The Art Room, which offers art as therapy to children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties. Picture: Getty Images She teamed the tiered gown with natural-look make-up, diamond and sapphire drop earrings (they once belonged to the Queen Mother) and a black Anya Hindmarch clutch, Vanity Fair reports. And she recycled a Orla Kiely grey dress she sported earlier in the year to attend Chance UK’s Early Intervention Programme at Islington Town Hall this week. Earlier today, the 33-year-old—sporting an undeniably elegant gray frock with floral embroidery—took time out of her busy schedule to discuss improving the lives of at-risk school children with the British charity Chance U.K. Showing she’s not a wear-it-once kind of girl, Kate brought out the dress again — which has black stitch-on flowers — after first wearing it in March.

In past years, 100WHF has partnered with several charities close to the trio’s hearts: Action on Addiction in 2013, an organization Kate serves as patron for, and WellChild in 2014, which has Prince Harry’s patronage. Gracia McGrath, CEO of Chance UK, told PEOPLE. “Watching her go round and to see them and how excited they were was really powerful.” “When she was listening to him, [she had] that warmth and understanding of what she had for where he’d been and where he is now,” McGrath said. “Somebody who really understands what they’re coming to visit and who they’re seeing, and the difference it makes.”
