Outlander & Sam Heughan. Jamie Is In Fictional Wentworth Prison But It Is The Real Linlithgow Palace.

“Outlander” fans, we do not know whether to tell you to be extremely excited or extremely worried about the new episodes of the show that are going to be airing on Starz Saturday night. There are shows that move at a brisk pace, and then there are also some that just air their episodes in such a way that makes it feel like it is over in the blink of an eye. Last week’s episode saw Claire, Jenny (Laura Donnelly) and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) on the search for Jamie after he was taken by the Redcoats when his raiding party was ambushed. The episode then ended with Claire and a few brave MacKenzie men going into battle to get her husband back from the nefarious Captain Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies).

Starz has not released much information about this weekend’s episode yet, but fans of the books know a thing or two already about Wentworth Prison that should make you very much afraid for what could transpire there between Tobias Menzies’ character and Jamie (Sam Heughan). It’s truthful storytelling at its finest, and in a brutal world where the law is frequently absent and unjust, and violence is one of the many byproducts.

For those who are not avid readers of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander novels, last week’s ending made it pretty clear how high the stakes are on tonight’s episode. You can also see below both Caitriona Balfe and Lotte Verbeek explain some of the fun that comes with playing their characters Claire and Geillis Duncan. The preview below for tonight’s new episode shows Claire in Wentworth at the mercy of Black Jack, and the sassy Sassenach isn’t holding back at all with what she thinks of the Captain. Given that Geilles has seemingly been dead since “The Devil’s Mark,” we want to view the release of this video now as some sort of potential hope that she was not burned at the stake as it potentially looked.

Hopefully, we’ll have so much more later tonight when it comes to “Wentworth Prison.” Stay tuned for both a review, and also a preview for what lies ahead in the finale! Expect this episode to be almost do-or-die for Caitriona Balfe’s character, with the only difference being that rather than dying, an unsuccessful mission here means that she could have to marry Dougal.
