One Direction Detail New Album, Release Anthemic ‘Infinity’.

The power ballad—from John Ryan, Jamie Scott and Julian Bunetta, the team behind their previous hit Story Of My Life—follows massive success of the band’s first single, Drag Me Down, which broke streaming records globally. The band announced the pre-album launch with a video message which delighted their fans on Tuesday, with the full album being released globally on Friday November 13th. Made In The A.M., One Direction’s first release without former fifth member Zayn Malik, may be their last new music before the band takes a hiatus next year, allowing their members to work on other projects. To celebrate the launch of the album, One Direction released a track from the album as a special surprise for anybody who pre-orders the album or streams through online retailers.

In the meantime, One Direction kick off the international leg of their On The Road Again tour this week with six nights at London’s O2 Arena and a headlining stint at Tuesday night’s Apple Music Festival. The 21-year-old heartthrob continued his typical rock ‘n’ roll display in an eye-catching suit as he headed to the Love Magazine Miu Miu bash, held at Loulou’s during London Fashion Week. That’s the time it would take to fix my heart/ Oh baby, I was there for you, all I ever wanted was the truth.” Bunetta spoke to EW about the new album earlier this year and said that the band was “experimenting a little with different instrumentation.” He added that the album includes more “strings and horns” and said, “We’re stretching out outside of the perimeters of what a traditional pop boy band would do.” “Infinity” follows “Drag Me Down,” the first single from the collection, which was the band’s first released song without Zayn Malik, who left the band in March.

The British crooner cut quite the dapper figure in a bold geometric-print two-piece, which was styled further with a black shirt and smart leather shoes. Both One Direction and Little Mix found fame on The X Factor with the boy band having gone on to enjoy global success, acquiring millions of fans who are known as ”Directioners”. Turning heads as he passed by, the handsome pop star appeared to be in great spirits as he mingled with the fashion pack – including rumoured former flame Cara Delevingne – at the exclusive event. Horan responded to the report saying that they would be taking a break, but not actually breaking up. “We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well-earned break at some point next year,” he tweeted. “Don’t worry though, we still have lots to achieve!

Along with bandmates Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, the singer is set to embark on another string of dates in Europe, before their mammoth tour comes to an end in October. Love you all xx.” 2015 may not bring everything that Back to the Future II promised it would: flying cars, self-lacing shoes, we don’t see ’em happening over the next 12 months. (Then again, don’t bet against Nike.) But this year will definitely pack plenty of punch when it comes to cultural happenings. Mad Max will roar back out of the apocalypse while Mad Men rides off into the sunset, rock’s Antichrist Superstar and hip-hop’s Yeezus will rise again.
