Olivia Munn: Hypnosis helped my fitness

Olivia Munn says a hypnotherapist motivated her to exercise.

While seeing a hypnotist to help her overcome OCD and trichotillomania (a disorder characterised by pulling out one’s own hair), Olivia Munn also got some unexpected help in the exercise department. “One day I told him I didn’t work out,” the 35-year-old actress told Good Housekeeping, “and he said, ‘What do you mean?’ I replied, ‘I don’t know. It’s good for your anxiety and depression.’ So during one of our sessions, he hypnotised me.” She continued, “I’m not exaggerating: That was on a Friday, and by Monday I was working out every day at 6am. I could do this a hundred times and be totally OK.” While a hypnotist might be responsible for keeping Munn active, he isn’t the only motivation for a healthy lifestyle. The actress says that her hunky NFL boyfriend, Aaron Rodgers, has helped her eat better. “My boyfriend’s healthiness inspires me,” she said. “Aaron is different than every other man I’ve ever met … There’s so much I could say.

Having somebody in your life like that is so motivating.” The actress is currently getting in shape for her upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse, but still has time to be with her puppy Chance and her Green Bay Packers boyfriend. “[My character] is a little scary.
