Nicki Minaj Called Taylor Swift to Talk Through Twitter Feud: “It’s Over, Guys!”.

Nicki Minaj wowed the crowd with an extremely raunchy performance on Good Morning America on Friday – but not before addressing her recent feud with Taylor Swift. Feud squashed, Barbz and Swifties — time to move on. apologized via Twitter on Thursday, July 23, for lashing out against a perceived diss from , and as it turns out, social media wasn’t the only way they mended fences. She performed Feeling Myself and The Night Is Still Young for the excited audience, pushing the boundaries of breakfast television as she grabbed her crotch and famous derriere. She said, ‘Look, I didn’t understand the big picture of what you were saying but now I get it.’ We’re all good.” Minaj also said that there seemed to be some “funny business” going on with the VMA nominations since her video for “Anaconda” broke a Vevo record but wasn’t nominated for Video of the Year. “I think if it were one of the pop girls, they would have had many nominations for it.” (The “Anaconda” video was nominated for Best Female and Best Hip Hop video.) “I just think we need to have both images for girls,” Minaj said. “We can’t have only one type of body being glorified in the media because it just makes girls even more insecure than we already are.”

This week’s social media exchange between the women inspired everyone from Ed Sheeran to Bruno Mars to Kim Kardashian to react, but no response was more shocking than that of Katy Perry, who accused frenemy Swift of being someone who “unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman.” (Minaj had favorited Perry’s tweet moments after it was posted, and before replying to Swift’s public apology.) She wrote: ‘Nothing to do with any of the women, but everything to do with a system that doesn’t credit black women for their contributions to pop culture as freely/quickly as they reward others. ‘We are huge trendsetters, not second class citizens that get thrown crumbs. Kisses to my fans and thank you for my 3 nominations.’ Ed Sheeran was sticking up for Taylor, while Katy Perry and Camilla Belle (who have both dated Taylor’s exes) were team Nicki, and Aaron Paul and Bruno Mars made fun of the fight.
