‘House Of Cards’ season four start date announced.

Netflix has released the first trailer and premiere date for its upcoming fourth season of “House of Cards” – in the form of a clever re-election campaign ad for its protagonist, the nefarious Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey). The teaser is an election campaign explaining politician Frank Underwood’s (Kevin Spacey) plans for America. “America, I’m only getting started,” says Underwood at the end.

In a very special campaign ad, Frank Underwood announced his return to the small screen for March 4, 2016, using the (rather ominous) slogan: “American, I am only getting started.” “It’s a new day in America. It began by mocking the cheesiness of political campaign messages, with a montage of wavering USA flags, soldiers returning home to hug their families and honest American builders building honest American homes. The election campaign has a movie trailer voiceover featuring military families embracing, fighter planes in the sky, and children running through a field with their American flags waving in the wind.

For those that don’t know Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, is the fictional US lawmaker who has schemed his way up the political ladder, all the way into the Oval Office, thanks in no small to the help of his equally ambitious wife Claire (Robin Wright). That man is Frank Underwood,” the ad’s narrator said, referencing his America Works initiative that formed a major part of the last season’s plot. But as the US Presidential election moves into gear there is huge scope to tease out even more scheming and machiavellian plotting against the backdrop of the real-life political drama in Washington (even if some of the recent statements by some Presidential front-runners look like they’ve been taken from the writers’ room wastebasket).

Actress Neve Campbell was cast earlier this year, however, and rumours suggest that a young couple could rival Frank and Claire Underwood – possibly with Campbell making up one half.
