The First Look at Tina Fey’s New Netflix Comedy.

Armed with just a backpack, light-up runners, and a couple of old library books, she’s ready to take on a world she didn’t even think existed anymore.

After putting her savvy spin on the teen comedy (Mean Girls) and the workplace sitcom (30 Rock), Tina Fey breathes new life into the tired “girl in the big city” show with Netflix’s The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way and she quickly finds a new job (working for 30 Rock’s Jane Krakowski), a new roommate (30 Rock’s Tituss Burgess), and a new beginning. The Office’s Ellie Kemper stars as a young woman plucked from a doomsday cult and dropped into New York City, catching up on everything she’s missed. Netflix will launch in Australia in March, with what will initially be a smaller line-up, missing key shows like Orange is the New Black and Better Call Saul which Foxtel’s Presto and Fairfax/Nine owned Stan have the rights to respectively.
