Avengers: Age of Ultron home video details.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is headed home this fall, and the second Marvel team-up saga will come loaded with deleted scenes when it arrives on disc and download. This Spring, Marvel’s mightiest heroes united on the screen for the second time to battle a bigger, badder, slightly more robotic threat in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.” And pretty much everyone in the world went to see the movie, including — probably — you.

Thankfully you’ll soon have the chance to take home Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. The movie wove together so many superheroes, including newcomers Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) into the clash between Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and the robot monstrosity Ultron that writer-director Joss Whedon found himself killing off many darlings to deliver the movie at a manageable length. Although Whedon swears off director’s cuts, saying he prefers to stand by the version released in theaters, he will be sharing a number of never-before-seen sequences that ended up on the cutting room floor, as well as a gag reel, and a handful of behind-the-scenes documentaries. Pushed to the brink of their physical and emotional limits, the team must recruit both new heroes and familiar allies to face an escalating danger that threatens the entire planet. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

We have a never-before-released scene from towards the end of the movie — those of you who were sleeping in ice ala` Captain America these past few months, avert your eyes — when Vision (Paul Bettany) meets Ultron (James Spader) for the first time. For those who’ve already seen the movie and are looking for a refresher of one of it’s best scenes: Paul Bettany as the synthezoid we know and love as The Vision, reaching for the weapon no one else can lift except for the God of Lightning.

One thing Marvel Studios apparently won’t be doing, and haven’t since Thor: The Dark World was released on home video in February 2014, is produce a stand-alone short, like Item 47 – which was included on the original Avengers Blu-ray, and helped inspire the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Agent Carter, which similarly led to the TV show of the same name starring Haley Atwell. If you’re less into Ultron in programming form, like when he first appears (i.e., in the cloud), and more into his eventual physical robot army form, the sequel will also hit 3D Blu-Ray Combo Pack, Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital SD and On-Demand on October 2. The Thor sequel featured All Hail the King, which starred Ben Kingsley as his character from Iron Man 3, and it was the most ambitious of the One-Shot shorts to date. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Bettany becomes Vision.

CAST: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man (Marvel’s The Avengers, Marvel’s Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth as Thor (Marvel’s Thor, Marvel’s The Avengers), Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk (Marvel’s The Avengers, Shutter Island), Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America (Marvel’s The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger), Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Lost in Translation, Marvel’s The Avengers), Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye (The Hurt Locker, Marvel’s The Avengers), James Spader as Ultron (TV’s The Blacklist, Lincoln), Samuel L.
