Bill Vinovich Picked to Referee Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl.

In addition to the game itself, the free stream—which kicks off at noon ET of Feb. 1—will include Super Bowl XLIX pre- and post-game shows as well as NBC’s post-game presentation of The Blacklist.Referee Bill Vinovich will be officiating his first Super Bowl when he leads the seven-man crew picked to work the NFL’s title showcase, the league said Tuesday. And in his second run, Seattle is 5-0 in games in which he has been the ref, including a couple of the more notable regular season wins, such as the 2012 home blowout of the 49ers, and the overtime win earlier this season against Denver.

While the stream is meant to promote NBC’s TV Everywhere campaign, the broadcast won’t exactly be “everywhere,” as the event will only be available via desktop computers and tablets. Bill Vinovich has been chosen to referee the game, leading a seven-man crew that includes Bill Schuster as umpire; Dana McKenzie as head linesman; Mark Perlman as line judge, Bob Waggoner as field judge; Tom Hill as side judge; and Terrence Miles as back judge. Vinovich has refereed five Patriots games in his career, including two this season: their Week 15 win over the Miami Dolphins and their divisional round playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens.
