Cara Delevingne told to “take a nap” as she’s blasted for “sarcastic” attitude in her most awkward interview ever.

The model turned actress was chatting with the morning show’s co-hosts via satellite when all hell broke loose the California TV stars grilling the crap out of poor Delevingne for no apparent reason.Cara Delevingne has been heavily promoting her movie Paper Towns, but she was accused of not being “irritated” while having to promote it on morning television.FILE – In this Friday, July 17, 2015 file photo, Cara Delevingne arrives at “Paper Towns” Q&A and live concert event held at YouTube Space LA in Los Angeles.

Last year, John Green told The Huffington Post that the “Fault in Our Stars” actor and his co-star Shailene Woodley begged him to be a part of “Paper Towns,” even if it was just for a second. “The day that it was announced, I got emails from both Ansel and Shailene, saying, ‘I really want to be in “Paper Towns,” just a small role, like if I could have like one line.’ And I wrote Ansel back and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m sure we can find something for you.’ And he was like, ‘No man, I’m not kidding. One newscaster recalled an earlier interview that Delevingne did for a British newspaper, and blurted out midway through the cringe-worthy chat, “You seemed a lot more excited about [the movie] than you do right now? The 22-year-old actress appeared via video link on Good Day Sacramento, but her upbeat personality failed to shine through while talking to the programme’s anchors – Marianne McClary, Ken Rudulph and Mark S Allen. Are you just exhausted?” To be fair, the question came out of nowhere and Delevingne didn’t appear to be tired whatsoever, but, she has been known to catch a few zzz’s during interviews in the past.

Cara appeared on the early morning show after the New York premiere of the movie adaptation of the John Green novel and found her interview cut short because of her tone, with one anchor telling her “take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull.” It didn’t get off to a great start when the programme’s anchor appeared to call her Carla, and the next few minutes where they tried to get a bit of information out of the blonde beauty were fairly painful. When asked if she’d read the novel or if she could possibly squeeze it into her hectic schedule, Cara tried to smack on a fake smile but the sarcasm was clear as day. “Uh, no I never read the book, or the script. The premiere was last night and it felt like the end of an era, but I’m not any less excited than I was a couple of weeks ago,” the Brit beauty explained. But as he gets deeper into the mystery – culminating in another awesome road trip across America – he becomes less sure of who and what he is looking for. Then, as if she didn’t fully and completely explain herself in a mature fashion, another newscaster chimed in, “You seem a bit irritated, perhaps it’s just us?” OK, at this point, it’s fair game for Delevingne to snatch off her earrings and go nuts on these people (just our humble opinion…), but instead she handles it once again like a pro and replies, “No, I think it’s just you.” As if the interview couldn’t have gotten any worse, the newscasters lash out with the following retort: “We’ll let you go then, how about that?

Kate is an icon.” “It’s crazy to be even be considered in the same calibre as Kate,” she said. “It’s a huge compliment but scary even to be mentioned in the same breath.” The pair haven’t let the spark of rivalry live between them, posing together several times — once for Burberry, and again this year as the faces of fashion retailer Mango. Earlier this month, she spoke candidly about it in Vogue. “All of a sudden I was hit with a massive wave of depression and anxiety and self-hatred, where the feelings were so painful that I would slam my head against a tree to try to knock myself out. The star, who has been acting in some capacity since 2012, was removed from Storm Model Management’s website last month, confirming for many the rumours that she was quitting the runway for a career onscreen.

This year’s Paper Towns and next year’s Suicide Squad, among a handful of other upcoming titles, will surely change that. “I’m not sure I understand what fashion is anymore,” Delevingne said in her latest Vogue interview. And the second you’re out of it, you’re like, What the hell just happened?” Probably that for a long time, she was well known for very distinctive eyebrows. In fact, if you find yourself somewhere where you can’t Google her name, just say “the model with the eyebrows” and people will probably have a vague idea of who you’re talking about.

Last year, the Independent declared, “Until recently, Cara Delevingne’s brows — heavy, bushy and in surprising contrast to the rest of her delicately pretty face – were the most cited reason for her success.” First name: Cah-ruh. No need to be embarrassed if you didn’t know: As documented by a viral Instagram video taken at an elevator at the Met Gala last year, Reese Witherspoon had no idea, either.
