Melissa McCarthy Looks So Slim, Even Under Multiple Layers.

Melissa McCarthy stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday to debut the trailer for her new comedy, The Boss. The Boss actress, 45, modeled a black turtleneck sweater, skinny jeans, and a long, fringed Melissa McCarthy Seven7 Collection sweater, which swirled around her as she walked.

“My name is Michelle Darnell, and I’m the wealthiest woman in America,” Melissa McCarthy’s character announces triumphantly Universal’s new trailer for The Boss — after arriving via golden phoenix on a stage better suited to a pop superstar than a mogul of finance.Comedy powerhouse Melissa McCarthy has a new movie coming out April 8, and if you’re a Girl Scout (or a Girl Scout parent), you’d better either run for cover – or straight to your local movie theater. Just how rich is she? “I wanted to come down on a golden phoenix and I sure as shit did it,” she says in the trailer, at a lecture in front of thousands of people. McCarthy — who shares two children, Georgette, 5, and Vivian, 8, with her husband, Ben Falcone — finished her ensemble with a berry statement lip, which perfectly matched her bright booties.

After Darnell is busted for insider trading, the former titan of industry is forced to move in with one of her beleaguered ex-employees, played by Kristen Bell. But it’s Bell’s young daughter – and her troop of “Dandelions” (the Girl Scouts stand-in) who hold the key to Michelle’s comeback: a baked-goods empire. Hijinks, of course, ensue when Michelle makes herself useful by getting involved in Claire’s daughter’s Dandelion troop, enlisting the girls in her own comeback — and teaching them some shortcuts to success along the way.

Under Michelle’s leadership, the little girls learn crackerjack business skills – and apparently how to defend themselves in violent brownie-selling turf wars. At one point, she instructs a Dandelion to say to potential customers, “Buy my brownies … or I’ll kill you.” The comedy, due April 8th from Universal, is based on an original character of McCarthy’s.

Though McCarthy told Vogue that she’s been against jeans in the past, she’s officially embraced the fitted pant and incorporated it into her collection. “One of the best parts of a woman’s body is that curve, and I go a little bit higher on all of my things to show off the best part of the hourglass,” she explained. Mad Max will roar back out of the apocalypse while Mad Men rides off into the sunset, rock’s Antichrist Superstar and hip-hop’s Yeezus will rise again.
