Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy’s Road to Marriage.

The 29-year-old former child actress Mary-Kate Olsen wed her partner for three years, 46-year-old Olivier Sarkozy, in a private and intimate ceremony in Manhattan, celebrity news site Page Six reported. “Party decor consisted of ‘bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night’”, Page Six reported quoting its sources. The actress-turned-fashion designer and the French banker were engaged in February after two years of dating, and now sources tell the New York Post’s Page Six they are officially husband and wife after quietly tying the knot on Friday. Mary-Kate and her twin sister, Ashley, rose to fame with the ’90s sitcom “Full House” and now own two fashion labels, The Row and Elizabeth and James.

Though they’re 17 years apart in age, the former child actress-turned-fashion designer, 29, was “definitely interested in him,” from the moment the couple began dating back in 2012, a source told Us shortly after they stepped out together. “MK is constantly complaining about boys not being mature enough for her,” the source explained of Olsen dating former French president Nicolas Sarkozy’s younger brother, 46. “She got the kids out of her system. And there’s no bad blood between Olsen and Sarkozy’s ex-wife, Charlotte — who split with the French financier in 2010 after 13 years of marriage and two children, Julien, 13, and Margo, 11. Jesinta Campbell has been putting on a brave face ever since her fiance, Lance “Buddy” Franklin, withdrew from the AFL season to address his mental health issues.

Photo: Instagram/jesinta_campbell “There have been a lot of times that I’ve had my full hair and make-up done and I’ve had to go and get it touched up because I’ve been in tears on the way to work,” Campbell said. The model and David Jones ambassador said Franklin is now in “good” health and that they are taking “each day as it comes”, but that she is also “quite exhausted from it all”.

Former Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Campbell told The Sun-Herald’s Kate Waterhouse exclusively that the situation has “taken its toll” on her. I think, looking back on it, yes, it has hindered his recovery and his well-being, and my well-being too, and it’s just really sad that we weren’t given the respect that was needed for it,” Campbell said. It is understood that Campbell sought legal action after News Corp’s gossip columnist Annette Sharp wrote a listicle in October titled: “13 Reasons Jesinta and Buddy Should Postpone Their Summer Wedding”.

Campbell replied with a statement to Twitter in which she said Sharpe’s article “isn’t worth my time”, and also sent a positive message to sufferers of mental illness.
