Lori Loughlin Confirms Aunt Becky Is Back for Fuller House—and Weighs in on Olsen Twins Not Returning.

Lori Loughlin made a whole lot of Full House fans happy on Thursday morning when she stopped by Good Morning America to make a major announcement: “Officially, I am going to be part of the spinoff Fuller House,” she said. The actress told People she will join former Full House castmates for the reunion episode, saying, “Doing that show was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had.Fuller House stars original cast members Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), her on-screen younger sister, Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Andrea Barber, who played her best friend, Kimmy Gibbler.

Lori Loughlin, who played Aunty Becky on the hit sitcom, confirmed Thursday on “Good Morning America” that she would be reuniting with her former castmates on the Netflix spinoff. It was just so much fun.” While Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not return for the spinoff, Dave Coulier recently signed on for the project along with previously announced castmembers Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber and John Stamos. Loughlin will appear in the one-hour reunion special that will kick off the 13-episode season, and said she might also appear in future episodes of the show. “We’re going to help Candace, Jodi and Andrea spin off the new show.

Tanner-Fuller (Cameron-Bure), living in San Francisco with her aspiring musician sister Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin) and BFF and fellow single mom Kimmy Gibbler (Barber). We’ll come back and do the first episode and maybe throughout the season we’ll pop up here and there.” Responding to news that the Olsens will not be back, Loughlin expressed her disappointment. “They’ve chosen not to be a part of it, which we would have loved it and it would have been great but I understand.” Set to bow on Netflix in 2016, Fuller House revolves around D.J.

Stephanie, now an aspiring musician, and single mother Kimmy — along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona — all move in to help take care of D.J.’s two boys, the rebellious 12-year-old J.D. and neurotic 7-year-old Max, and her soon-to-arrive baby. It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors.
