Lindsay Lohan ‘hospitalized in London’ as she continues to battle rare virus contracted in French Polynesia.

LINDSAY Lohan spent time in a London hospital just weeks after revealing she contracted the mosquito-transmitted virus Chikungunya while vacationing in Bora Bora over the holidays.

The 28-year-old had contracted a rare mosquito borne virus called Chikungunya while on a break in French Polynesia over the Christmas holiday in December Doctors at King Edward have reportedly referred the star to a specialist to manage symptoms related to the virus. She has contracted Chikungunya, a virus transmitted by mosquito bites that causes fever, joint pain and fatigue, claims TMZ. “In good faith with good people.

I refuse to let a virus effect my peaceful vacation be safe and happy on the new year all #wildfox and a positive, healthy new year (sic).” The star headed to the tropical island for a well earned break after her stint in the West End production of Speed-the-Plow in the British capital. TMZ added on Wednesday that Lindsay returned to London after spending a short time in Los Angeles where she filmed a car insurance commercial, but was admitted to hospital after becoming so ill she couldn’t walk. Lindsay is currently in King Edward VII’s Hospital and she is reportedly being kept in because she has a high fever and the joint pain is “unbearable”.
