I want to make great music that people want to listen to.” Payne has already dabbled in solo work by remixing 1D songs, calling them “Big Payno remixes.” So far, he’s reworked versions of “You & I” and “Steal My Girl.” Earlier this summer when EW caught up with longtime One Direction producer Julian Bunetta, who worked with Payne on the remixes, he said there may be some more coming. “I’m sure he would want to,” Bunetta told EW. “He loves doing it.

He continued: ‘I think that was mainly because people think of the Louis and Harry thing [that they’re secret lovers], which is absolutely nuts and drives me insane’. Liam will no doubt set pulses racing in the stunning shoot and his revealing interview, where he spoke of his hard partying lifestyle and settling down with his girlfriend Sophia Smith.

It’s a great title to have.’ Clearly feeling candid, the What Makes You Beautiful hitmaker explained that for a stint he was drinking heavily but insists it helped him through a dark period. Also there were a lot of things on my mind and that’s what helped me through. ‘Now I’m a lot more focused and I feel good to be out of that zone and be more concentrated. But the Drag Me Down hitmaker openly came out in support of gay marriage in the interview. “It’s strange to me that countries are still refusing to pass the [gay marriage] law.

Liam’s tell-all chat also revealed that One Direction’s workload caused him to turn to drink to cope, but he insists they’re not splitting permanently. You can’t live in the past, you have to move with the times.’ ‘It’s the first solo shoot and interview any of the members of One Direction have done, their first gay press shoot and I think the only magazine promo for their new album,’ a spokesperson for the magazine said. ‘The news that the band are taking a hiatus or splitting up, whichever version you believe, means that this story should be global news and I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t become our biggest-selling issue ever.’ He apologised to his 20.7M followers for calling out boys in the audience who couldn’t relate to dedicating a song to a woman, but insisted that his comments had no homophobic intention.

Audience members recalled Liam saying: ‘This is my favorite song off the last album, and it is about trying to find that number one woman of your life – which none of you can relate to, ’cause most of you are girls. Meanwhile, in the magazine’s interview Liam will also discuss the pressures of being in the spotlight and how he feels about his LGBT fans as well as One Direction’s future without Zayn.
