Actor Leslie Jordan Confrontation in WeHo Over Homophobic Slur.

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — When three men entered a West Hollywood Starbucks and began yelling anti-gay slurs, they found a formidable opponent in Leslie Jordan, the diminutive character actor known for his Southern accent and roles on TV shows such as “Will and Grace.” After the verbal attack, witnesses said Jordan, who is gay, followed the men outside the Santa Monica Boulevard coffee shop.At a Starbucks in the super gay Los Angeles neighborhood of West Hollywood, three antagonistic straight dudes started yelling “faggot” for no apparent reason.

When one of the men lunged at Jordan, the actor is said to have thrown his iced tea at the man. “Leslie Jordan ran out to tell them, ‘Get out of our house. The men were talking loudly to each other “about their heterosexual exploits”, TMZ writes. “He was screaming and pointing “you will die fucking faggots”, eyewitness Joseph Daniels told WeHoville. Jordan, who won an Emmy in 2006 for his recurring role as Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace, has also appeared in 2011’s The Help and in episodes of Desperate Housewives.

Joseph Daniels, a photographer, witnessed Jordan telling the troublemakers to “get out of my house”, after the group uttered slurs while waiting in line. He said deputies urged the gay men not to file charges against the others, saying that if they did the men screaming “faggots” could accuse Jordan of assault for throwing his coffee at one of them and the deputies would have to arrest Jordan. “Then [another] guy threw his drink to hit me”.
