‘Law & Order’ director Jace Alexander faces child porn charges.

Actor and director ‘Jace’ Alexander was charged Wednesday by Westchester County authorities with felony counts of possessing and promoting child pornography. TV director Jason “Jace” Alexander (not to be confused with Jason Alexander of “Seinfeld” fame) was arrested Wednesday in connection with the possession and file-sharing of child pornography.Alexander, 42, is charged with one felony count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one felony count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, Westchester County (N.Y.) District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced Wednesday. Alexander, 51, of Bellair Drive in Dobbs Ferry, was taken into custody after an investigation by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office allegedly traced child pornography to a computer in his home, authorities said .

In addition to directing 32 episodes of Law & Order, Alexander is the Second Vice-President of the Director’s Guild of America and is credited for 18 episodes of Rescue Me. On Friday, an investigator from the D.A.’s office downloaded child pornography traced to a local IP address, according to a press release from DiFiore’s office. According to Westchester County prosecutors, an investigator was able to download child pornography from an IP address determined to be assigned to the director’s house.

From The Wrap: After a search warrant was executed at Alexander’s home address, a forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than 16 years of age engaged in child pornography, according to the DA. He’s also acted in several roles for television and TV movies, and was a co-executive producer on NBC’s Blacklist for 16 episodes between 2013 and 2014.
