‘Law & Order’ TV director from Westchester hit with child porn charges: officials.

ESSEX, Md. (AP) — A civilian employee for the Baltimore City Police Department has been suspended after having been arrested in a child pornography case.

The 42-year-old director is facing one felony count of promoting a sexual performance by a child, as well as a felony count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, E!Television director Jason “Jace” Alexander has been arrested on child pornography charges for allegedly promoting a video showing a girl stripping and masturbating, the Westchester County District Attorney’s office said Wednesday. — Actor and director Jason (Jace) Alexander was charged Wednesday by Westchester County authorities with felony counts of possessing and promoting child pornography. Alexander, 51, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. the only son of actress Jane Alexander, is accused of promoting the video – depicting a girl about 12 or 13 years old – by making it available for viewing in late June on the Torrent network, according to a criminal complaint. The District Attorney’s Office began its investigation and pursuant to a subpoena, it was determined that the IP address was assigned to the defendant’s home.

A press release stated that a forensic examination of computers and external hard drives revealed the digital files of children, less than sixteen years of age, engaged in child pornography. Apart from ‘Law and Order’ fame, the director, who was earlier elected the second vice-president of the Directors Guild of America, is also known for ‘Golden Boy’, ‘Prison Break’ and ‘Blacklist’. According to the Internet Movie Database, Alexander has directed 32 episodes of “Law & Order” and 19 episodes of “Rescue Me,” in addition to episodes of “The Blacklist” and “The Practice.”
