‘Real Housewives’ star Kim Richards sentenced for resisting arrest.

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Kim Richards was sentenced to three years of probation on Monday after pleading no contest to resisting arrest after she was kicked out of a posh Beverly Hills restaurant in April. For creating drunken drama at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Kim Richards has now been sentenced to 30 days community service, which involves tasks like graffiti and garbage removal. Former child actress Richards, 50, pleaded no contest and was also ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous for a year, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Rosa Zavala said in a statement. According to sources, the 50-year-old Kim Richards requested the judge to grant her easy labour because of her foot injury but the judge washed off her plea, reports

Richards, an actress who as a child starred in 1975’s Escape to Witch Mountain, did not attend the hearing but entered the plea through her attorney, Sara Caplan. Richards, 50, previously balked at the idea of hard labor — such as freeway trash collection — and tried to get community service instead under the no-jail deal. The conviction came a week before the case was scheduled for trial and the same morning posted a distressing photo of Richards allegedly trying to score the prescription drug Xanax from a Los Angeles smoke shop. Her lawyer Sara Caplan appeared on her behalf in a Van Nuys courtroom last week and asked the judge for more time to review evidence and conduct investigative work in the Target case.

Richards was detained by loss prevention security guards in August at a Target in Van Nuys on suspicion of shoplifting $600 in products, said Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department. Richards appeared to be out again last week when she returned to Twitter with a Labor Day message and claimed she was sober in one exchange with a follower. The child actress who starred in Disney’s 1975 flick “Escape to Witch Mountain” entered rehab on the heels of her Beverly Hills arrest but left in May to attend her daughter Brooke’s wedding in Mexico. She reportedly remains estranged from her younger sister Kyle Richards — one of her “Real Housewives” co-stars — and is not returning for the next season of the hit Bravo show. “I’m sorry that Kim’s not here because of the situation … but I think that her sobriety is more important that any reality show,” co-star Lisa Vanderpump told last month.
