The Texans’ star defensive end is on the cover of ESPN Magazine’s upcoming Music Issue with singer Katy Perry, who’s scheduled to be the halftime performer at Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1 in Glendale, Ariz. We’re less than two weeks away from Katy Perry‘s Super Bowl performance, and to make it even more official, she’s scored her first cover for ESPN Magazine.

This year, Katy Perry steps to the 50-yard line as the Super Bowl halftime headliner, facing a sellout crowd in Arizona and a much-larger TV audience of more than 100 million people. While last week we saw Katy paying attention to her face in preparation for the big game, for the cover she turns her focus to someone else—Houston Texans player J.J.

Since Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 – the halftime show booked by MTV with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson that contributed “wardrobe malfunction” to the national lexicon – the NFL has chosen the halftime acts itself. Though he’s not playing in the game on February 1, both he and Katy—as the cover reminds us—definitely “have their eyes on total domination.” Watt’s eyes are in particular focus thanks to the eye black Katy is helpfully applying to his cheeks.

The BTS video reveals another outfit, plain black, which is a far-off look from Katy Perry’s last ESPN moment, when she wore Jeremy Scott’s fuzzy jersey and bright red buns on “College GameDay.” We have a feeling her performance is gonna be more fuzzy sweaters than black dresses, but we can’t be sure, obviously—Katy always keeps us guessing.
