Fans were thrilled to be reminded of one of the most romantic films of all time, ‘Titanic’ and Kate Winslet immediately began to trend on Twitter. (Source: Twitter) Hollywood actress Kate Winslet, who made millions sob with her heart wrenching romance in ‘Titanic’ opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, recently re-enacted the famous pose from the film, where the duo are seen with their arms outstretched on the boat. The two bonded during their dangerous mountain trek, with Grylls likening their adventure to “literally like taking Mary Poppins on steroids on a camping trip.” “I stand in front of the mirror and say to Mia, ‘We are so lucky that we’ve got a shape,'” Winslet said, adding that she is pleased when her daughter tells her, “I know.” As Kate realised what he was trying to do, she quickly got into the part and put on an American accent while saying the famous line, ‘Jack, I feel like I’m flying!’ Running with Bear Grylls is a new eight-part series featuring a host of celebrities treated to a 48-hour journey of a lifetime as the survivalist takes them to the most remote locations around the world. The next morning she threw a jokey tantrum when Grylls failed to wake up before her, demading to know where her toast and tea was, while he admitted she was the first ever person to ever wake up before him on a trip, adding it was nice to wake up to Kate Winslet doing the housework. Throughout their hikes they discussed her outdoorsy upbringing. ‘My parents didn’t have very much money so we didn’t go on fancy holidays…holidays were lots of camping…very much on the fly,’ she said. ‘I’m scared Bear,’ she shrieked, adding a few choice expletives as she lost her footing. ‘That was a truly horrible feeling,’ she gasped afterwards.

They stopped for a cup of tea to calm her nerves. ‘That’s what’s great about going on an adventure with a fellow Brit: near death moment – cup of tea,’ Bear smiled before they chatted about her audition for Titanic. ‘I don’t like the term movie star, I don’t like showing off, I’m not much of a show off,’ she continued, saying that although her lifestyle has changed since she hit the big time she has ‘not changed as a person’. After enjoying lunch on the mountain with Bear, in the midst of their treacherous survival adventure on the beautiful but dangerous mountain range (which saw her end up covered in fish guts), they had a heart-to-heart about her childhood. Day two involved scrambling over wet rocks on the tough and craggy coastline, during which Kate gave Bear a helpful hand-on-bum bunt – followed by a forward rappel. After some good pretend fun, she stops quoting her best-known role and shouts, “Get me down this (expletive) thing!” just like the rest of us would.

As well as being a renowned Hollywood star for her critically-acclaimed roles, she famously hit back over her image being heavily airbrushed for GQ magazine back in 2003. ‘I actually have a Polaroid that the photographer gave me on the day of the shoot… I can tell you they’ve reduced the size of my legs by about a third. They finished with a swim in icy waters to a waiting dingy – but when the sodden Kate couldn’t pull herself aboard Bear jumped back in the water to return the hand-on-bum bunt: ‘I did that for England,’ he grinned into the camera.
