Kanye West, Travis Scott Get Creepy in ‘Piss on Your Grave’ Video.

Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but ever since he announced So Help Me God in March (and then switched the LP title to SWISH in May), fans have been eager for new Yeezy tracks.

The pair dwell in a creepy forest with a super scary masked Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) lurking in the background for the video, as they deliver the song’s intense lyrics. The clip, directed by Nabil, finds the duo delivering their bizarre urination boats (“I use your face as a urinal / then do the same at your funeral,” West rhymes) between shots of muddy skeletons and masked men. In June, he revealed that the album is dope (in case you were thinking otherwise). “His album is amazing,” Scott said at the time. “He’s on his producing sh-t.

The track, which echoes the confrontational style of West’s 2013 LP, Yeezus, follows a disjointed path through sludgy, psychedelic guitar riffs and lumbering, flanged drums. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Scott told the video’s backstory while in the middle of boarding a plane. “I was in my hotel room in Paris, and we were just chillin’ and I just fucked around and was like ‘We need to do the video while we’re in Paris!,'” Scott recalled, describing the aesthetic as “lo-fi.” Scott also revealed that Mos Def is the man wearing a stocking on his head in the clip.

After describing the process of filming the new video, Scott offered a preview of West’s highly-anticipated Yeezus follow-up Swish. “That Kanye album…okay, let me hang up before it gets crazy,” Scott teased. “That ‘Ye album is nothing to sleep on. Last year, reports circulated about a West-Paul McCartney collaboration possibly titled “Piss in Your Grave,” rumored to be a contender for the rapper’s upcoming solo LP, Swish. The two tracks are assumedly connected, though a representative for McCartney previously declined to comment on whether the former Beatle performed on the Scott track.

Rodeo, released in September, features contributions from several other high-profile producers (Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean) and guest performers (the Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Toro y Moi, Future, Schoolboy Q). 2015 may not bring everything that Back to the Future II promised it would: flying cars, self-lacing shoes, we don’t see ’em happening over the next 12 months. (Then again, don’t bet against Nike.) But this year will definitely pack plenty of punch when it comes to cultural happenings. Mad Max will roar back out of the apocalypse while Mad Men rides off into the sunset, rock’s Antichrist Superstar and hip-hop’s Yeezus will rise again.
