Justin Bieber Says He’s Single “and Ready to Mingle”.

After watching pal Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat Andre Berto on Saturday night, the “What Do U Mean” crooner hopped into the ring to celebrate with his pal — only to get the boot from police moments later. That’s what he told Ellen DeGeneres, anyway, when he stopped by for Tuesday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I wrote the song for women in general,” he said, dodging the host’s attempt to get him to talk about his ex, Selena Gomez. “I just never know what women are thinking ‘cause they say one thing and they meant another thing and then they’re like do this and don’t do this and then I’m like … what do you mean?” And there you have it — easy enough.Justin was spotted by a number of fans as he made his way around the city, no doubt thanks to the sizeable entourage and security that accompanied him. Another fun fact about the song is that when you’re hearing what you think might be a synthesizer, it’s actually Bieber’s voice. “That’s actually my vocal, they just chopped it up. … They pitched it up and they messed with it and stuff.”

Earlier on Monday he hit a skate park in the city’s famous Kreuzberg area, where he showcased his shredding abilities in the park’s bowl before heading for a low-key dinner at a Japanese eatery. The 21-year-old pop star didn’t challenge the man with the cuffs, and he and his entourage instead made their way out of the venue and on to the afterparty.

While it seems Bieber has seen the errors of his punkish ways, consider that the singer has been known to throw temper tantrums when things don’t go his way. But the Canadian coyly avoided the question, fixing his hat and playing with his hair, and even brought the conversation on a tangent about Ellen’s reading glasses before she snapped him back and forced him to answer.

Earlier this month, the hunky star told Australia’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show that he hasn’t been in a relationship for quite some time. “I’m chilling and just hanging out. Just being by myself,” he said on Sept. 8. “I am a relationship type of guy, I love to be in love and I love cuddling and I love all of that kind of stuff. I don’t know if I’m ready for a relationship right now.’ When Ellen insisted he was too old for him – or rather he wasn’t too young for her but she was too old for him – Justin mused that the age gap wasn’t that off-putting. For weeks leading up to the video’s release, Bieber had been posting pictures of his celeb friends holding up handwritten placards counting down to the single’s release, including Larry King, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Chris Martin, Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Mariah Carey, John Leguizamo and Ellen herself. Deli also featured, and her sign had a little love heart added to the top corner, which added fuel to the rumours the two were more than co-stars after the singer was spotted serenading her in a piano bar the week before.
