Ellen DeGeneres celebrates 2,000th episode with Jennifer Aniston, Justin Timberlake.

“I’ll tell you something, if someone had told me I was gonna make 2,000 shows, first of all, I would’ve asked for a lot more money,” DeGeneres joked. “I would have said, ‘You’re crazy.’ 2,000 is a lot.” DeGeneres was surprised by both Jennifer Aniston – who came bearing a welcome mat (the same one she gifted DeGeneres as her first-ever guest) – and the always-charming Justin Timberlake, who was her second-ever guest.First, Jennifer Aniston showed up. “Do you know how hard it is to surprise this person?” asked Aniston, who was a guest on the very first episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Television Group, Peter Roth, who announced that for only the fourth time in the studio’s history, a stage is being renamed in her honor. “I officially dedicate Stage 1, which forever more will be now known as The Ellen Stage,” Roth said, presenting a misty-eyed DeGeneres with a new plaque. Keeping a surprise hidden from DeGeneres is something not even her wife, Portia de Rossi, can pull off. “It always somehow leaks out, somebody tells me something,” said DeGeneres.

The comedian celebrated her self-titled talk show’s 2,000th episode — which airs on Thursday, Nov. 12 — with surprise guests Jennifer Aniston and Justin Timberlake. The host was also visited by Kerry Washington, who performed a sparkling rendition of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” on a tuba to win money for her charities, the Purple Purse Initiative and Turnaround Arts. And if pop superstars can be considered gifts — and let’s face it, they should be — Aniston also helped “bring sexy back” to DeGeneres’ stage in the form of Timberlake, who’d appeared on the talk show’s second episode. Washington also brought DeGeneres some special Olivia Pope-style Scandal wine glasses and a bottle of red, saying, “You really have changed the landscape of how we love each other in the world.”
