Jon Snow Totally Isn’t Dead on Game of Thrones

Are you Team Katniss or Team Snow? This Hunger Games and Game of Thrones mash up is just perfect.

When we got our first sighting of Kit Harington arriving in the Belfast airport last week right when Game of Thrones went into production on Season 6, most people took it as a pretty good sign that Jon Snow would be making some kind of appearance in the upcoming season, be it as an icy corpse or otherwise.Since the first Hunger Games book was published in 2008, Suzanne Collins’s dystopian, part politics, part war, part romance YA series has become an international phenomenon.‘Nothing good is safe while Snow is alive,’ Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) declares at the start of the clip as it becomes clear that the man she’s talking about isn’t President Snow.

Harington sparked speculation that there was still hope for Snow when he was spotted in Belfast, where the rest of his castmates were assembled for script readthroughs for the new series earlier this month. Nope, this guy thought about it and realized that the trailer for Mockingjay Part 2 is full of Katniss talking about some guy named Snow she wants to kill, and Thrones has a pretty famous guy named Snow walking around (um, at least, we hope).

David brilliantly cut together the new “Mockingjay – Part 2” trailer with scenes from “Game of Thrones” to make it look like Katniss is coming after Jon Snow instead of President Snow. With three films out and one more to come this year, we’re celebrating Katniss Everdeen with the 10 best quotes from all three books that highlight her strength, heroism and revolutionary spirit. At first one, then another, then almost every member of the crowd touches the three middle fingers of their left hand to their lips and holds it out to me.

And while the public’s curiosity about Jon Snow’s return will keep raging until we get official confirmation from HBO, we should probably feel a little sorry for Harington at this point.
