Jimmy Fallon Injures His Other Hand After Taking a Tumble During Award Celebration at Harvard.

Jimmy Fallon was honored Saturday by the Harvard Lampoon, Harvard University’s humor magazine, but the celebrations were interrupted when the comedian took a tumble that apparently injured his other hand. A source tells PEOPLE that “everything is totally fine” and “It was all part of the celebration in the street and some random girl kneeled down in front of him abruptly as he was turning around and he tripped over her because he didn’t see her.” Looking dapper in a black tuxedo, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon host was on campus to be honored with the Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor, which is the first time the coveted prize has been awarded this century. “A guy and a guy got out of the limo, and went in before him for like five minutes,” said an autograph seeker. “They came out, waved to the car, Jimmy got out, and they all walked into Mass General.” Earlier in the afternoon, the funnyman hung out at the Hong Kong Restaurant, a popular bar in the Harvard Square area, where he drank Scorpion Bowls with several tux-clad Harvard students. The parade started by the Inn at Harvard and ended at the steps of the magazine’s headquarters, Lampoon Castle, where he was presented with a trophy and an 85-cent check.

The Harvard Crimson also reports a number of smaller prizes were bestowed on Fallon, including a check for 85 cents. “I could get a sugar packet at Starbucks. Please don’t tell them — but I’m actually honored.” Elsewhere, he posted a selfie atop his parade chariot and a snap of the medal. “Thank you, @harvardlampoon,” he wrote.
