Jimmy Fallon Enlists Terrence Howard, Donald Trump for ‘Empire’ Parody.

When the “Tonight Show” host adopts “Empire” antihero Lucious Lyon’s trademark turtleneck, paisley scarf and ruthless ambition, he’s no longer Jimmy Fallon — he’s Juicy Jim, head of the “Tonight Show Jimpire.” “I’ve been telling jokes since I was 9 years old in Brooklyn. The show’s latest parody – “Jimpire,” a hilarious nod to Fox’s acclaimed music drama Empire – finds the host contemplating his options for a late-night successor, including Questlove, Tariq and a Cookie-styled Steve Higgins (“Higgy”). It was these jokes, these funnies, these ‘ha-has,’ that kept me warm at night growing up in the streets,” he begins a monologue about who will succeed him as the show’s host.

The late-night host played a version of Terrence Howard’s Lucious Lyon in the hilarious 10-minute video, complete with a slick suit, purple scarf, and some scruff. I could stub my toe, I could bite my tongue, I could burn the roof of my mouth eating a hot microwave pizza.” Fallon enlisted his show’s band, The Roots, to fill out the rest of the Lyon family. And Questlove reveals a deep-burning secret: that he’s bald. 2015 may not bring everything that Back to the Future II promised it would: flying cars, self-lacing shoes, we don’t see ’em happening over the next 12 months. (Then again, don’t bet against Nike.) But this year will definitely pack plenty of punch when it comes to cultural happenings. Mad Max will roar back out of the apocalypse while Mad Men rides off into the sunset, rock’s Antichrist Superstar and hip-hop’s Yeezus will rise again.
